My name is Jay Alexander and I reside in St Petersburg, Florida.  I became aware of the United States Civilian Conservation Corps in the summer of 1990.  I just returned from Panama and my first employment after leaving the service was working as a summer ranger/naturalist at Raccoon Creek State Park in southwestern Pennsylvania.  Working with the living legacy of their work, I became an advocate to reactivate this New Deal program.
