About Me

My name is Jay Alexander and I reside in St Petersburg, Florida.  I became aware of the United States Civilian Conservation Corps in the summer of 1990.  I just returned from Panama and my first employment after leaving the service was working as a summer state park ranger/naturalist at Raccoon Creek State Park in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.  I enjoyed working within the living legacy of their handywork and since been an advocate to reactivate this New Deal shovel ready program for twenty years.
